Support services

HemiHelp is first and foremost a support group for parents of children with hemiplegia. We provide information and support through our website, helpline, home visiting service and message board.

Helpline

We have a helpline run by trained volunteers who are themselves parents of children and young people with hemiplegia. The helpline is open from Monday to Friday during term time, from 10am to 1pm on 0845 123 2372. Find out more about the HemiHelp helpline >>

Email support

You can also contact our helpline through the HemiHelp website or by emailing support@hemihelp.org.uk. Due to the volume of enquiries we receive it may not be possible to deal with all enquiries immediately, but we will aim to reply within 5 working days. If the enquiry is urgent you can always call our telephone helpline on 0845 123 2372.

Family Back Up service

This service is run by a team of qualified professionals that have personal experience of hemiplegia. Our home visitors give support on the phone or in person on a range of different issues including education, access to benefits and other issues relating to life with hemiplegia. Find out more about the Family Back Up service >>

Message board

HemiHelp's Message Board facility is a friendly online community where you can share experiences, information and tips with others.
